Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is an agreement between a homeowner/building owner and Solar City, where Solar City covers the full cost of installing and maintaining a solar system. In return, the host customer agrees to buy the power produced by the system. This allows building owners to pay as they go, rather than in one large upfront payment.

  2. Nice Info! Currently the high efficiency solar rating that a solar power system has is around 20%, which is comparatively high for a rooftop system, and greatly enhanced from what was exist even 3 years ago.

  3. Nice Info! Sell excess power. If you build a huge enough solar power system, you can make your power meter spin backwards! Most energy companies will gladly buy or credit you for this excess power. Contact your local energy companies for more details.
